Contest Events For Steel City Smoke Trial 3

1/4A Streamer Duration
1/4A Parachute Duration (Multi Round)

Awards: Trophies for 1st place in each event (Divisions A, B, C, and Team), To be presented at the field on Sunday at approximately 3:30 PM

Competition Range: Will be open Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday 9 AM to 2 PM. 1/2A CA must be flown Saturday from 9 AM to Noon. Duration events will be flown from Noon until 5 PM on Sat. and from 9 AM until 2 PM on Sunday. Random duration must be your first timed event after 12:00. If necessary 1/2A CA Re-flights will be at 3:30 PM on Saturday. If necessary 1/4A PD (MR) Fly-offs will be at 1:30 PM on Sunday

Fees: A & B Div: $10, C Div. $15, Team $18, NOTE: No additional charges to fly on the sport range. There is $3 late fee for registrations received after October 5th.

Check-In: Will be at the Best Value Motel (Room 107) starting at 7:00 PM Friday evening & at the range starting at 8:00 AM on Saturday.

FAA Waiver: 5000 ft. AGL

Range: Will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM On Saturday and 9 AM to 3 PM On Sunday

Motors: Tripoli or NAR certified motor up through I without advanced application, J motors require advance application / approval, subject to launch day flying conditions.

Note: Due to the launch site's proximity to an interstate, the RSO will reserve the right to lower the permitted motor range.

Fees: $14 for both days, or $10 for single day flying (rates are for flyer or family). Tripoli Pittsburgh members fees are $12 and $8. NOTE: Registration for the sport range will be on the field only. There is no late fee.

Field Rules: All participants must follow the safety code and field rules that will be posted. There are power lines at the edge of the field, any participant who's model lands on these lines will be responsible for 50% of the cost of removal.
